Getting Started Step-by-Step

Step 3 A quick check of your camera drivers.
Start HSSVSS by clicking on the
On the top left of the application are two drop down boxes. These list the digital cameras installed on your HSSVSS system.

If your camera isn't listed you will need to install the standard windows drivers for your digital camera. These come supplied with your digital camera at time of purchase and are normally found on a CD.

If you are borrowing a camera to test the software remember to also borrow the driver CD!

Step 4 Place your digital camera in the direction of the surveillance area

Step 5 Start the Surveillance

Click the ON Button to start your camera. Click the zones tick box for the camera you wish to use motion detection.

Step 6 How to setup Motion Detection

Click AIM1 or AIM2 depending on which camera you are targeting.

There are two ways to target the zones.

You can enter co-ordinates manually or use the arrow keys to move the target. You don't need to save the changes as these are saved automatically when you close the dialog.

In the top left corner of the image is a figure. When this figure is higher than the set sensitivity an image is taken. This figure should be constantly changing.

Set the sensitivity to a figure slighty above the constant rate displayed. To view the images click IMAGES
